Bharat Dynamics Bags ₹810.79 Cr Order for SAT-SAAW from IAF

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has signed a contract worth ₹810.79 crore with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Satellite Smart Anti Airfield Weapons (SAT-SAAW) along with associated equipment for the Indian Air Force (IAF). This order falls under the 'Buy (Indian - Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured)' category. The SAT-SAAW is an indigenously developed, air-to-ground precision guided glide bomb capable of neutralizing enemy airfields from a long stand-off range. The system boasts 60% indigenous content, with further indigenisation planned for key sub-systems. Deliveries are scheduled between FY2027-28 and FY2028-29.
