Bharti Airtel Limited has received notices from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) imposing penalties totaling ₹3.13 lakhs for alleged violations of subscriber verification norms. The penalties stem from Customer Application Form (CAF) audits conducted by the DoT for June 2026. Specifically, the Karnataka LSA imposed a penalty of ₹2,13,000 and the Maharashtra LSA imposed ₹1,00,000. The company has stated that it will not contest these penalties and will proceed with payment. The financial impact is limited to the penalty amounts levied.
