Biocon Malaysia Gets EMA Nod for Insulin Fill Finish Unit

Biocon Ltd. announced that its Malaysian subsidiary has received approval from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for a new drug product fill finish line. This facility is dedicated to Semglee® (insulin glargine) and is located at their insulin manufacturing site in Malaysia. The company expects to commence supplies to Europe from this new line starting in the second quarter of the financial year 2027 (Q2FY27). This development signifies an expansion of Biocon's manufacturing capabilities and its commitment to serving the European market with its insulin products.
