Biocon Secures 10-Year Pertuzumab Supply Contract in Brazil

Biocon Limited has announced a significant 10-year supply contract for Pertuzumab in Brazil, a HER2-positive breast cancer therapy. This agreement, part of Brazil's Productive Development Partnership (PDP) program, is a collaboration with Bahiafarma and Bionovis. The consortium secured 100% allocation in the PDP, granting exclusive access to Brazil's public healthcare market, which represents approximately 70% of the country's demand for Pertuzumab. Biocon will benefit from milestone payments and a share of revenues over the contract period. The partnership also includes phased localization of the product in Brazil, aiming to enhance local manufacturing capabilities and expand access to this critical cancer treatment within the Unified Health System (SUS).
