Borosil Scientific to Add ₹60 Cr Facility in Gujarat

Borosil Scientific Ltd announced on September 22, 2026, its Board of Directors has approved the expansion of its production capacity by setting up an additional manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat. This expansion is driven by strong and growing demand for glassware products supplied to Borosil Limited (BL). The existing capacity is approximately 15 lakh units per annum with an 87% utilization. The proposed addition aims to increase capacity to approximately 108 lakh units per annum. Commercial production is expected to commence by March 2027, with an estimated capital expenditure of ₹60 crores. The project will be financed through internal accruals and/or borrowings. The company also plans to apply for eligible subsidy benefits under the Viksit Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026.
