Burnpur Cement: BSE Approves Promoter Reclassification for Suchitra Agarwal

Burnpur Cement Ltd has received an order from BSE Limited conveying its 'No Objection' to the proposed reclassification of Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal from the 'Promoter' category to the 'Public' category. This decision is in compliance with the directions of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta. The reclassification request was made by Mrs. Agarwal following the takeover of management by UV Asset Reconstruction Limited (UVARCL) due to default in credit facilities, which resulted in UVARCL acquiring a significant stake and impacting promoter shareholding and control.
