Central Bank of India Appoints Shri Chandradeep Kumar Jha as Govt Nominee Director

Central Bank of India announced the appointment of Shri Chandradeep Kumar Jha as a Government Nominee Director on its Board, effective June 19, 2026. He replaces Shri Baldeo Purushartha. Shri Jha, a Statistical Advisor in the Ministry of Finance, brings over two decades of experience in various government departments including Statistics, Commerce & Industry, and Home Affairs. His expertise spans data analysis, policy formulation, and monitoring. He also serves on the boards of IIFCL and PFRDA. This appointment is made by the Central Government under the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970.
