DOMS Industries Wins Appeal, ₹17.75 Lakh Penalty Set Aside

DOMS Industries Ltd has received a favorable Order-in-Appeal from the State Taxes Department, Srinagar. The appellate authority has set aside the earlier order that imposed a penalty of ₹17,75,790 for alleged transportation of taxable goods without proper documentation. The company had paid the penalty under protest. The appellate authority has now directed the proper officer to refund the entire penalty amount paid by DOMS Industries, along with applicable interest, within 30 days. The company stated that this order has no material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities.
