GKB Ophthalmics Receives ₹8.82 Cr Recovery Demand Notice

GKB Ophthalmics Ltd has received a 'Notice of Demand' from the Mamlatdar of Bardez Taluka, Goa, for the recovery of ₹8,82,00,856/-. This demand is in relation to an order passed by the Labour Commissioner on September 04, 2025, for the execution of an award dated May 25, 2021, by the Industrial Tribunal. The company is challenging the award via a writ petition before the High Court of Bombay at Goa. GKB Ophthalmics plans to challenge the latest recovery order by filing another writ petition. The notice requires payment within 10 days of service, which was July 13, 2026.
