Godavari Biorefineries Starts 200 KLPD Corn Distillery at Sameerwadi

Godavari Biorefineries Limited has announced the commencement of its new corn/grain-based distillery at its Sameerwadi Unit, effective June 29, 2026. This expansion adds a proposed capacity of 200 KLPD, complementing its existing 600 KLPD sugarcane-based capacity. The project involved an investment of approximately ₹130 Cr, financed through internal accruals and debt. The dual-feedstock capability is expected to enhance ethanol production resilience, particularly during climate disruptions, and position the company to meet the increasing demand driven by India's ethanol blending program.
