GPL Fined ₹10 Lakh by CGRERA for Project Advertisement Violation

Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL) has received a certified true copy of an order from the Chhattisgarh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (CGRERA), Raipur, imposing a penalty of ₹10,00,000. The penalty is under Section 3(1) read with Section 59 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, for alleged contravention related to the advertisement of 'Project – Greenvale Estate' before obtaining RERA registration. GPL states the advertisements were circulated by third parties without their knowledge or consent. The company has obtained registration for the project and is evaluating legal remedies, stating there is no material impact on its financial or operational activities.
