Gujarat Energy Pays Record ₹324 Cr Dividend to State Govt
Gujarat Energy Limited (formerly Gujarat Gas Limited) has achieved a significant financial milestone by paying a record dividend of ₹324 Crores to the Government of Gujarat for the Financial Year 2025-26. This is the highest dividend ever paid by a single State PSU to the Government of Gujarat in a financial year. This achievement follows a Scheme of Amalgamation & Arrangement involving GSPC Group companies, which became effective on May 1, 2026. Post-scheme, the Government of Gujarat's holding in Gujarat Energy increased to approximately 38%. Additionally, GSPL Transmission Limited paid ₹60.67 Crores as dividend for FY 25-26, bringing the total dividend payout from GEL and GTL to the state government to ₹384.67 Crores for the fiscal year.
