Hero MotoCorp to Invest up to ₹1,758 Cr in Ather Energy

Hero MotoCorp Limited announced its Committee of Directors has approved the purchase of additional equity shares in Ather Energy Limited, an associate company. The investment is expected to be up to ₹1,758 crore and will increase Hero MotoCorp's shareholding in Ather from 29.88% to approximately 32.8% on a fully diluted basis. Ather Energy is engaged in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of electric two-wheelers and operates its own charging infrastructure. The acquisition is not considered a related party transaction and does not require governmental or regulatory approvals. The transaction is expected to be completed by September 3, 2026. Ather's turnover for the year ended March 31, 2026, was ₹3,671.76 crore.
