
Himadri increases stake in IBC to 20.47% with $0.66M additional investment
Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd has further strengthened its strategic partnership with International Battery Company, Inc. (IBC) by increasing its stake to 20.47% on a fully diluted basis. This was achieved through an additional investment of USD 0.66 million, bringing Himadri's total investment in IBC to USD 6.09 million. Previously, Himadri held a 17.29% stake. The increased investment reflects Himadri's confidence in IBC's technology platform, commercialization roadmap, and long-term growth potential. This partnership is crucial for Himadri, supporting the commercial deployment of its Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Cathode Active Materials and advanced Anode Materials. Himadri gains strategic access to IBC's R&D center in California, manufacturing facility in South Korea, and an upcoming Gigafactory in Bengaluru, India. The collaboration enhances Himadri's downstream integration within the battery value chain and provides IBC with a reliable supply of high-quality materials.
