Hindustan Aeronautics: DAC Approves Procurement of Advanced Light Helicopters

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) announced that the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AON) for the procurement of Advanced Light Helicopters (ALHs). This approval is part of a larger capital acquisition proposal worth approximately Rs 1.10 lakh crore for the Indian defence forces. The ALHs will be utilized by the Indian Army and Indian Air Force to execute complex missions across various terrains and operational situations. The DAC's approval signifies a significant step towards bolstering the capabilities of the Indian defence forces, with a substantial portion of the procurements expected to be sourced from the domestic industry.
