Honasa Consumer Wins Arbitration Rectification, Award Increased to AED 9.9M

Honasa Consumer Ltd announced a favorable rectification order in arbitration proceedings against RSMM General Trading LLC. Following an initial award, the company applied to rectify computational and clerical errors. The Arbitral Tribunal allowed the application, increasing the loss of profits award from AED 4.34 million to AED 7.32 million and correcting substitution costs. The revised award also includes a direction for RSM to pay damages related to any Dubai court decisions against Honasa concerning the distributor agreement. The final amended award directs RSM to pay Honasa Consumer a total of AED 9,918,514 (approximately INR 25.54 crore), with post-award interest applicable if unpaid within 30 days. RSM is also liable for damages equivalent to any amounts recovered against Honasa in related Dubai court proceedings.
