Embassy Developments: Karnataka HC Sets Aside Order on Land Resumption

Embassy Developments Ltd announced that the Division Bench of the Karnataka High Court has set aside a previous order that had allowed a writ petition filed by its subsidiary, Embassy East Business Park Limited (EEBPL). The earlier order had set aside a resumption order by KIADB concerning approximately 78 acres of land in Bengaluru. The Division Bench clarified that no opinion was expressed on the merits of the dispute, and all issues remain open for consideration by the regular bench. An undertaking by KIADB to not take coercive action will continue. The company and EEBPL maintain the resumption order is invalid and will pursue legal remedies.
