Sula Vineyards Loses GST Appeal, Order-in-Original Upheld

Sula Vineyards Ltd has received an Order-in-Appeal from the Commissioner (Appeals), CGST & Central Excise, Nashik, rejecting the company's appeal against a previous Order-in-Original. The original order confirmed a GST demand of ₹4,01,79,882 (excluding interest and penalty) and a penalty of ₹4,09,90,408. The alleged violations pertain to the GST rate on restaurant services and corporate guarantee. Sula Vineyards intends to file a further appeal before the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), expecting a favorable outcome.
