IRCTC Partners with QCI for Food Safety Audits

IRCTC has partnered with the Quality Council of India (QCI) to implement a digital, third-party food safety and hygiene audit mechanism for its onboard and static catering units. QCI will deploy certified professionals for unannounced quarterly and half-yearly inspections, ensuring compliance with FSSAI regulations and international standards. The process will utilize a digital platform with mandatory geo-tagging and time-stamping for transparency and real-time gap detection. This initiative aims to enhance passenger dining experience, ensure consistent quality, and enforce vendor accountability through strict monitoring and rapid corrective actions.
