InterGlobe Aviation Faces ₹1.14 Cr Customs Penalty

InterGlobe Aviation Limited has disclosed an order received from the Principal Commissioner of Customs, New Delhi, confirming a demand based on revised classification of goods. The order pertains to the period April 2020 to March 2024 and includes a penalty of INR 1,14,17,541/- along with interest and demand of duty. The company believes it correctly classified the goods and deposited applicable duties, and intends to contest the order before the appropriate appellate authority. InterGlobe Aviation stated that there is no significant impact on its financials, operations, or other activities.
