Jain Irrigation Signs Biochar Credit Deal with Supercritical

Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. has entered into an agreement with Supercritical Tech Ltd. for up to 19,000 tonnes of biochar carbon removal credits from its Jalgaon, Maharashtra facility for 2026 and 2027. This deal aims to commercialize biochar credits generated from agricultural and food-processing residues, contributing to durable carbon removal and sustainable agriculture. The project is undergoing verification by Puro.earth, with an independent BeZero Carbon rating in progress. This arrangement is not a related-party transaction.
