JK Lakshmi Cement Wins GST Appeal, Demand Set Aside

JK Lakshmi Cement Limited has successfully appealed against Goods and Services Tax (GST) orders that had raised a demand of ₹879.15 Lakhs for tax, ₹659.35 Lakhs for interest, and ₹87.91 Lakhs for penalty for FY 2019-20. The appeal, concerning issues like Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) on inter-state purchases and disallowance of Input Tax Credit, was decided in favor of the company by the Office of the Additional Commissioner (Appeal) of State Tax, Chhattisgarh. Consequently, the entire demand has been set aside, with no expected financial implications for the company.
