JSW Energy Adds 1.166 GW Renewable & 300 MW Thermal Capacity

JSW Energy Limited has announced a significant capacity addition, incorporating 1,166 MW of renewable energy and 300 MW of inorganic thermal capacity since April 2026. This expansion brings the company's total installed capacity to 14,920 MW. The renewable capacity now represents 60% of the total, with wind, solar, hybrid, and hydro contributing substantially. The acquisition of Maruti Clean Coal and Power Limited bolstered the thermal portfolio. JSW Energy is on track to meet its FY2027 greenfield capacity target and aims for 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh energy storage by 2030, targeting carbon neutrality by 2050.
