JSW Hydro Energy Limited, a material step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy Ltd, has won a significant appeal at the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL). The tribunal set aside a Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) order that disallowed the claim for notional interest during construction on equity exceeding 30%. APTEL has allowed the Interest During Construction (IDC) claim and ruled that carrying cost should be reckoned from the filing date of the true-up petition. The matter has been remanded to CERC for a prudence check of the data related to the additional IDC.

Her resignation is effective from the close of business hours on August 31, 2026. Ms. Singh is leaving to pursue career opportunities outside the JSW Group. JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy Ltd, has entered into a Shareholders' Agreement with Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) for the joint development of the 920 MW Punatsangchhu-III Hydroelectric Project in Bhutan. The project will be developed on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer basis through a special purpose joint venture company to be incorporated in Bhutan. DGPC will hold a 51% equity stake, while JSW Neo Energy will hold 49%. JSW Neo Energy's initial contribution is BTN 245 million. This marks JSW Energy's first power generation venture outside India.

JSW Energy Limited has successfully completed the acquisition of 100% equity shares of Maruti Clean Coal and Power Limited (MCCPL), which operates a 300 MW thermal power project in Chhattisgarh. MCCPL is now a wholly-owned subsidiary. This acquisition increases JSW Energy's operational capacity to 14.8 GW. The acquired plant has a long-term PPA for 195 MW with Rajasthan discoms and sells remaining capacity in the merchant market. The transaction valued MCCPL at an Enterprise Value of ₹1,410 crore, with FY26 EBITDA of ~₹279 crore. The company expects the acquisition to be EBITDA and PAT-accretive, reduce net leverage, and strengthen its balance sheet. JSW Energy aims for 30 GW capacity by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
