
JSW Energy receives NCLT order sanctioning Scheme of Arrangement with GEPIL
JSW Energy Limited has received a copy of the order from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench, sanctioning the Scheme of Arrangement between GE Power India Limited (Demerged Company) and JSW Energy Limited (Resulting Company). This follows previous intimations regarding the Board's approval of the scheme on September 18, 2025, and observation letters from stock exchanges on April 2, 2026. The NCLT's order, dated October 1, 2026, sanctions the scheme under Sections 230-232 of the Companies Act, 2013. A certified copy of the order is awaited, and the company will inform stock exchanges about the Effective Date in due course. The scheme was previously approved by shareholders and creditors in meetings held pursuant to an NCLT order dated June 2, 2026.
