Laurus Labs Appoints Two New Independent Directors, One Retires

Laurus Labs Ltd's Board of Directors, at their meeting on April 30, 2026, approved the appointment of Dr. Shekhar Chintamani Mande and Ms. Sutapa Banerjee as Independent Directors. Both appointments are for a term of five consecutive years, effective from July 02, 2026, and are subject to shareholder approval. Dr. Mande is a distinguished structural and computational biologist and former Director General of CSIR. Ms. Banerjee's profile was also annexed. The Board also noted the retirement of Mrs. Aruna Bhinge as an Independent Director, effective from the close of business hours on July 6, 2026, upon completion of her second term. The new appointees are confirmed to be unrelated to any existing directors or Key Managerial Personnel and are not debarred by any regulatory authority.
