Laurus Labs Board Appoints 2 New Independent Directors, 1 Retires

Laurus Labs Ltd's Board of Directors, at their meeting on April 30, 2026, approved significant changes to its independent directorship. Dr. Shekhar Chintamani Mande and Ms. Sutapa Banerjee have been recommended for appointment as Independent Directors for a term of five consecutive years, effective July 02, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. Both incoming directors are unrelated to existing management and are not debarred by SEBI. Concurrently, the Board noted the retirement of Mrs. Aruna Bhinge as an Independent Director, effective from the close of business hours on July 6, 2026, upon completion of her second term. Dr. Mande brings expertise as a structural and computational biologist and was formerly Director General of CSIR.
