Lemon Tree Subsidiary CGST Demand & Penalty Set Aside

Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd announced that its subsidiary, Sukhsagar Complexes Private Limited, has received a favorable order from the Commissioner (Appeals), Central Excise & CGST, Jaipur. The order sets aside a demand and penalty of ₹82,554/- each, initially imposed by the CGST Range-XXIII, Jaipur, under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The appellate authority deemed the demand unsustainable. Consequently, there is no financial impact on the company or its subsidiary as the entire liability has been nullified.
