LIC Appoints New Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) announced the appointment of Shri Varadarajan Muthuvenkataraman as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Shri Shatmanyu Shrivastava as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both appointments were approved by the Board of Directors on July 28, 2026, following recommendations from the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. Shri Muthuvenkataraman, previously Executive Director (Enterprise Risk Management), will now hold both roles. Shri Shrivastava, formerly Executive Director (Finance & Accounts), assumes the CFO position. Both appointments are effective from July 28, 2026, and will continue until superannuation or further order.
