Mahindra Launches BE 6 SPORTEQ Electric SUV Series

Mahindra & Mahindra's subsidiary, Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited (MEAL), has launched the BE 6 SPORTEQ series, an evolution of its electric SUV. The new series introduces Battery as a Service (BaaS) starting at ₹11.45 Lakh with battery costs at ₹3.75 per km. Key features include a futuristic three-screen digital cockpit with TEQ Suites powered by Google Gemini, and specialized editions like the Launch Edition and Formula E Freedom Edition. Software-defined vehicle capabilities will be rolled out to existing BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S owners via OTA updates starting January 2027. Deliveries for the BE 6 SPORTEQ are scheduled to begin on August 26, 2026.
