MRPL Flags Off Its First Toluene Parcel, A Significant Milestone Towards Self-Reliance in Chemical Production

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a Govt. of India Enterprise and ONGC Subsidiary, successfully flagged off its first truck parcel of Toluene at the Aromatic Complex within the Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL). The event was graced by the presence of Shri Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, Managing Director of MRPL, Nandakumar Velayudhan Pillai Director (Refinery), BHV Prasad, Executive Director (Projects), B. S udarshan Executive Director ( Refinery) Yogish Nayak S, CFO and other senior Officers of MRPL. The launch of MRPL's Toluene product was recently officiated by the Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, during his visit to the refinery. This move is a pivotal step towards reducing India’s dependency on imports and strengthening the nation's industrial and economic development, aligning with the Government of India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
