Maruti Suzuki Commences Production at 2nd Kharkhoda Plant

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has commenced commercial production at the second plant of its Kharkhoda, Haryana facility, effective May 18, 2026. This plant adds 250,000 units per annum to the company's capacity. With the first plant already operational with a similar capacity, the Kharkhoda facility now contributes 500,000 units to Maruti Suzuki's total annual production capacity, which stands at 2.65 million units. The company had earlier indicated its plan to add 5 lakh units of capacity in FY 2026–27, and the addition is in line with this plan. The Kharkhoda facility will eventually have a capacity of 1 million vehicles per annum.
