Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has commissioned INS Mahendragiri, an advanced stealth frigate, into the Indian Navy. This marks a significant milestone in India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing, with the frigate boasting approximately 75% indigenous content. Built under Project 17A, INS Mahendragiri is the fourth Nilgiri-class stealth frigate constructed by MDL.
