NLC India, NALCO Sign JV for 1,080 MW Thermal Power Plant

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) and National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) have signed a Joint Venture Agreement to develop a 1,080 MW coal-based captive thermal power plant in Angul, Odisha. The project, a 4 x 270 MW facility, will be equally owned and operated by both Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprises with a 50:50 equity participation. This collaboration aims to ensure a reliable long-term power supply for NALCO's expansion projects and signifies a commitment to integrated resource development and energy security.
