NTPC Green Energy Acquires Ayana Renewable Power, Expanding Capacity to 4112 MW

NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has completed the acquisition of 100% equity stake in Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited through its 50:50 Joint Venture Company, ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL). Ayana, a leading renewable energy platform, has a capacity of approximately 4112 MW with operational and under-construction assets strategically located across resource-rich states. The acquisition was completed on 27th March 2025, with NTPC Green Energy Limited investing ₹ 3124.25 Crore, which is 50% of the total cost of acquisition of ₹ 6,248.50 Crore. Ayana's portfolio is backed by high-credit-rated off-takers such as SECI, NTPC, GUVNL, and Indian Railways.
