NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has announced the Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) for the second part capacity of 6.3 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project. NTPC Ltd's subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has announced the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a 50 MW solar capacity component of its 100 MW RE Round The Clock (RTC) project in Rajasthan. This capacity, part of a larger 150 MW solar component, was commissioned by Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited. This addition brings the total installed capacity of the NTPC group to 91,080 MW and its commercial capacity to 90,000 MW. NGEL group's commercial capacity now stands at 10,786.56 MW, increasing to 10,836.56 MW with this new capacity.

NTPC Limited announced that the President of India has extended the re-employment period of Shri Gurdeep Singh as Chairman & Managing Director. The extension is on a contract basis for a further period of six months, effective from August 1, 2026. This extension is beyond his current tenure completion on July 31, 2026, and will continue until a regular incumbent assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earliest. This decision was conveyed by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
