NTPC Group Capacity Rises to 91,086 MW Post Project Update

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has announced the Commercial Operation Declaration (COD) for the second part capacity of 6.3 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project. This project is located in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat, and is part of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a stepdown subsidiary. The COD is effective from September 13, 2026. Following this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group has reached 91,086 MW, with a commercial capacity of 90,006 MW. The NGEL group's current commercial capacity is 10,836.56 MW, which will increase to 10,842.86 MW with this new capacity. This development signifies ongoing expansion in NTPC's renewable energy portfolio.
