ONGC Completes Two Deep Geothermal Wells at Puga, Ladakh

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has successfully completed two deep geothermal wells, GT#02 and GT#03, at Puga, Ladakh. This milestone marks a significant step towards India's first demonstration-scale geothermal power project at Puga. The project aims to provide clean, round-the-clock energy, reduce dependence on conventional fuels, and support socio-economic development in Ladakh, contributing to its carbon-neutral aspirations. Nationally, it bolsters India's clean energy portfolio, energy security, and Net Zero objectives. The initiative is a collaboration between ONGC Energy Centre, the UT Administration of Ladakh, and LAHDC-Leh.
