OMDC gets Forest Clearance extended for Bhadrasahi Mine till 2030

The Government of Odisha has approved the extension of the Forest Clearance for Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.'s Bhadrasahi Iron & Manganese Mining Lease. The approval is valid until September 30, 2030, aligning with the extended mining lease period. This extension is subject to several conditions, including completing afforestation work, implementing protection measures, minimizing soil erosion, planting drought-hardy species, constructing check dams, afforestation of non-mineralized forest land, creating alternate habitats for avifauna, and ensuring proper management of OB dumps.
