Orissa Minerals Gets Environment Clearance for Belkundi Mine

Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd has received Environment Clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for its Belkundi Iron & Manganese Ore Mine. The clearance is for an area of 1276.79 Hect. with a restricted mining area of 920.6 ha. The approved production capacity is 1.8 MTPA for Iron Ore and 0.3 MTPA for Manganese Ore, along with crusher and screening plant installations. This clearance was granted under the violation category based on S.O 804 (E) dated 14/03/2017, following a recommendation from the Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) in its meeting on 17/07/2026. The project is located in Keonjhar district, Odisha.
