Pharmaids Files ₹2.62 Cr Cheque Dishonour Complaints

Pharmaids Pharmaceuticals Ltd has filed two complaints under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, read with Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. These complaints, filed on September 15, 2026, are against M/s Anugraha Chemicals and its partners for the dishonour of two cheques totaling ₹2,62,50,000. The cheques were issued towards outstanding dues related to a Disinvestment Agreement dated 10.07.2025. The cheques, numbered 740165 and 740166, were dishonoured on July 23, 2026, with the remark 'Payment Stopped by the Drawer'. The company is seeking recovery of the unpaid amount, which includes ₹52,50,000 for cheque 740165 and ₹2,10,00,000 for cheque 740166. There are no expected financial implications for Pharmaids as they are the complainant.
