Power Grid wins ₹1,152 Cr transmission project in Gujarat

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been declared the successful bidder for establishing an Inter-State Transmission System for integrating power from RE Projects in Lakadia REZ, Gujarat. The project, to be executed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis, has an annual transmission charge of ₹1,152.49 Crore. The scope includes establishing a new 765/400kV sub-station, constructing 765kV transmission lines, and installing a synchronous condenser in Gujarat. The Letter of Intent was received on September 3rd, 2026.
