Premier Energies, RCT India Form JV for 12 GWh BESS Mfg

Premier Energies Limited and RCT India, part of RCT Group Germany, have signed a binding term sheet to establish a 12 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Telangana. The venture, to be operated through Premier Energies' subsidiary Premier Battery Technologies Pvt. Ltd., will initially focus on 6 GWh capacity. This strategic move expands Premier Energies' clean-energy portfolio beyond solar manufacturing and aims to cater to the growing demand for energy storage in India and global markets. The facility is envisioned as an export-oriented platform, leveraging Premier Energies' manufacturing expertise and RCT's global energy sector experience. This partnership is expected to bolster India's domestic BESS manufacturing capabilities and support the nation's renewable energy goals.
