Cemantic Infra-Tech MD Convicted, Fined ₹1.3 Cr in Cheque Bounce Case

Cemantic Infra-Tech Ltd announced that its Managing Director, Guduru Satyanarayana (formerly of Quantum Build Tech Ltd), has been convicted by the VIII Metropolitan Magistrate in Hyderabad. The conviction is for an offense under Section 138 of the NI Act, related to a cheque bounce case (CC.NI/0001283/2021). The accused has been sentenced to pay a fine of ₹1,30,00,500. Out of this amount, ₹1,30,00,000 will be paid as compensation to the complainant. In default of payment, the accused faces a simple imprisonment of four months.
