Regaal Resources: ₹16.56 Cr SGST Reimbursement Claim Under Scrutiny

Regaal Resources Ltd has received a further notice from the Director of Industries, Bihar, regarding an incorrect claim for SGST reimbursement. This follows an earlier notice in February 2026. The company is now directed to deposit an additional ₹1,66,00,296.31 (₹1.66 Crore), bringing the aggregate excess claim/reimbursement under scrutiny to ₹16,56,03,225/- (₹16.56 Crore) for the period April 2019 to December 2024. The company is also required to pay interest at 18% per annum. Regaal Resources is examining the notice and plans to take appropriate legal steps, including filing replies or appeals. The company expects to recover approximately ₹114.81 Million from distributors due to breaches in agreement clauses related to utilizing SGST credits for IGST liabilities.
