Schneider Electric Infrastructure revises Kolkata plant capex to ₹291.2 Cr
Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd announced revisions to its capital expenditure plans for its Kolkata Medium Voltage Components (KMVC) facility. The company's Board of Directors approved an increase in investment for capacity enhancement of Medium Voltage (MV) Vacuum Interrupters from INR 138 Crores to INR 184 Crores, aiming to boost production from 180,000 to 250,000 units annually by Q1 FY28-29. Additionally, capex for establishing a Mechanism Assembly Line was revised from INR 90.6 Crores to INR 107.2 Crores. The total revised capex amounts to INR 291.2 Crores. This expansion aligns with the company's localization strategy, export growth plans, and business continuity objectives. Financing will be through internal accruals and/or borrowings.
