Senores Q2 FY27: PAT +22% YoY to ₹37 Cr, margins expand but growth trails 50-60% guide
Senores Pharmaceuticals' consolidated (primary basis) Q2 FY27 revenue rose 24.9% YoY to ₹192.33 Cr (+6.7% QoQ vs ₹180.21 Cr in Q1 FY27), with consolidated PAT up 21.5% YoY to ₹36.60 Cr. EBITDA grew faster, up ~38% YoY to roughly ₹57.7 Cr, pushing the operating margin up ~290bps YoY to ~30% — management's own stated expansion. But that operating gain did not fully flow through: finance costs rose 42% YoY to ₹8.77 Cr and depreciation/amortisation rose 27% YoY to ₹10.25 Cr, while a ₹2.89 Cr net loss attributable to non-controlling interests — from the newly consolidated Zoraya and Amerisyn step-down subsidiaries, which are still in set-up with no matching revenue — pulled consolidated PAT below the ₹39.49 Cr actually earned by equity holders of the parent. Net profit margin was therefore roughly flat YoY at ~18.2% (18.0% a year ago) even as the EBITDA margin expanded. No brokerage-specific Q2 FY27 preview or consensus estimate could be found in a web search, so the print cannot be graded against street numbers (vsStreet: unknown). Against management's own FY27 guidance — reaffirmed in this release as 30-40% revenue growth and 50-60% PAT growth, with EBITDA margin of 29-31% — the quarter is a mixed scorecard: H1 FY27 revenue growth of 30% YoY sits at the low end of the guided band and H1 EBITDA margin of ~29.8% is within the guided range, but H1 PAT growth of just 31% YoY is well short of the 50-60% PAT guidance, meaning a sharp H2 acceleration is now required to hit the full-year target. Segment-wise, Regulated Markets revenue grew 27.9% YoY to ₹136.7 Cr and Emerging Markets grew 21.2% YoY to ₹38.4 Cr, while Branded Generics was the one segment drag, down 20.5% YoY to ₹9.5 Cr. Standalone and consolidated results diverge sharply — standalone PAT was just ₹7.72 Cr against ₹36.60 Cr consolidated — reflecting that the bulk of earnings now sit in the US/overseas subsidiary structure (Senores Pharma Inc, Havix, Ratnatris, Apnar and the new step-down subs), not the Indian parent. Management's press release frames this as its '9th consecutive quarter of healthy double-digit growth,' pointing to the ANDA portfolio nearly doubling YoY to 64 (23 commercialized, 41 more planned over the next 18-24 months) and pending Europe entry plus PIC/S approval for the Chhatral facility as growth drivers — claims the revenue and EBITDA numbers support, though the release does not directly address the PAT-growth shortfall against its own guidance. Corporate developments this quarter were largely administrative rather than result drivers: Swapnil Shah's reappointment as MD (Oct 13, 2026) signals leadership continuity, Talati & Talati LLP was appointed as a second joint statutory auditor alongside the incumbent, and a subsidiary's USFDA inspection concluded in September without disclosed findings — relevant context for the Regulated Markets ANDA pipeline but not a quantified financial driver this quarter.
