Shukra Pharma forms JV with Borns Medical Robotics for AI surgical systems

Shukra Pharmaceuticals Ltd has entered into a Term Sheet with Borns Medical Robotics Pte Ltd, Singapore, to establish a strategic joint venture named B&S Robotics Private Limited. This JV will focus on the design, manufacture, distribution, and servicing of AI-enabled surgical robotic systems in India and the Asia-Pacific region. Shukra will hold a 60% stake, contributing capital, its distribution network, and market capabilities, while Borns will contribute technology, IP, and manufacturing know-how for a 40% stake. The agreement outlines a framework for definitive agreements covering technology transfer, governance, and potential future demergers or listings. The JV aims to expand globally after obtaining necessary certifications.
