NCLAT dismisses promoter appeal, vacates stay on Simbhaoli Sugars CIRP

Simbhaoli Sugars Limited announced that the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has dismissed the appeal filed by Ms. Gursimran Kaur Mann, a promoter, and disposed of the appeal filed by Mr. Surender Pal Singh Mangat, a farmer, with certain directions. This development vacates all interim orders and closes pending interlocutory applications. The company is currently under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) initiated on July 11, 2024, with Mr. Anurag Goel appointed as the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP). The NCLAT's judgment, pronounced on July 13, 2026, effectively lifts the stay on the CIRP.
