Sterlite Technologies: High Court partly allows writ petition on Kakinada Smart City contract

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) announced that the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati has partly allowed a writ petition filed by the company. The petition was against the State of Andhra Pradesh, Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited, and others, concerning a contract for the development and implementation of Smart City Solutions in Kakinada. This legal matter relates to STL's former Global Services Business. Following a Scheme of Arrangement approved by the NCLT, Mumbai, STL's Global Services Business was demerged into STL Networks Limited, effective March 31, 2025. Consequently, any contingent gain or benefit from this legal matter now pertains to STL Networks Limited, which has filed its own disclosure.
